What's new

Changes you would notice, newest first. What's still coming is in the docs.

    • Google Analytics now counts visits to our own pages, but only after you choose "Accept all" in the cookie notice. Nothing from Google loads before that, and it never runs on shared apps, snapshots, embeds or your own domain.
    • The legal pages use our registered name and address: Programmable LLC, 3607 10th Street Northwest, Washington, DC 20010.
    • Only panels that read are picked when you make an app, and the services you've connected are tried first.
    • Data sources on an app's page shows, for each panel, whether it worked for you in the preview or needs a service connected, with a link to connect it.
    • Who can view: limit a link to people you name by email, or to an email domain, and move its end date later as well as earlier.
    • A snapshot can include a panel that reads from an outside service, if you choose to include that panel.
    • Privacy and the data processing agreement announce Ask about this data, which takes effect on December 3, 2026. It stays off until then.
    • Shared apps are drawn here: each panel runs on the account of the person who opened the link. A panel that uses credits waits for Run, and Refresh runs it again.
    • Snapshots: take a snapshot of what your app shows you, which anyone can open without signing in, and put it on your website with a frame that only shows on domains you've checked.
    • Report this page, on every shared app and snapshot, with no account needed.
    • The app editor: ask for a change in your own words, see every version and choose which one people see, add controls such as a date range, and choose a grid, stack or tabs.
    • Invite someone to edit an app with you; they accept under Invites.
    • Client folders, with the client's name, logo and colour on their snapshots.
    • Settings, Domains: connect a domain you control and prove it's yours with a TXT record.
    • Programmable Apps moved to programmable.link.
    • Sign out everywhere, under Settings, ends every Programmable sign-in you have.
    • A Report a security problem page.
    • A QR code for each share link, to show or download.
    • See your app the way someone who opens the link sees it.
    • Delete an app, and make your own copy of an app someone shared with you.
    • Download your apps and the links shared with you, as CSV or JSON, from Settings.
    • Billing shows your real credit balance, and a Pricing page says what uses credits.
    • A Status page that says whether the site and the services it runs on are answering.
    • Link controls: pause a link, add a password or a view limit, set an end date, and see how many times it was opened.
    • A link to /new with a sentence fills in the New app form for you; nothing is made until you press Make.
    • Dark mode, following your device's setting.
    • Plain words when something on our side is down, and a failed make keeps your sentence.
    • The first version: sign in with your Programmable account, make an app from a sentence, share its link, and see what's been shared with you.
