Accessibility
Last updated November 6, 2026
We want everyone to be able to make, share and open apps with Programmable Apps, including people who use a screen reader, a keyboard, magnification or other assistive technology.
Our target
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA on our own pages: the public site, the signed-in app, shared links and snapshots. We don't yet claim that every page fully meets it.
How we check
- Every proposed change runs automated accessibility checks (axe, against WCAG 2.1 A and AA) on the pages people land on, public and signed in, including shared links, snapshots and these legal pages. A serious or critical problem fails the check.
- The pages follow the device's light or dark setting, and the same checks make sure the main pages don't scroll sideways on a phone.
- Automated checks find only some problems, so we also fix what people tell us about.
What we know isn't perfect
- A panel shows what a connected service returns. We draw tables, lists and values in an accessible way, but we can't always describe images or media that a service sends without a description.
- An app's title, panel names and folder branding are chosen by the person who made it, including colours and logos on snapshots.
Tell us about a problem
If something in Programmable Apps is hard or impossible for you to use, email [email protected] with "Accessibility" in the subject. Tell us the page's address, what you were trying to do, and the browser and any assistive technology you use. We'll reply, and if we can't fix it straight away we'll help you get what you needed another way.
